CQC Registered Nurse-Led Oversight Flexible Scheduling

What We Offer

What Are Homecare Visits?

Homecare visits — also known as domiciliary care — are scheduled calls from a trained and DBS-checked carer to your home, providing the support you need while you continue living life on your own terms. Whether that's a 30-minute morning welfare check, help with bathing and dressing, or multiple visits throughout the day to manage medication and prepare meals, we build a schedule around your routine, not a rigid rota.

At S&N Flexi Agency, every homecare package is underpinned by nurse-led clinical oversight from Susan Olueh, our Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse with over eight years of specialist clinical experience. This means you're not just getting a carer at the door — you're getting a whole team committed to your health, dignity, and wellbeing. We're CQC registered, regularly inspected, and proud to hold a 91% RAAG Green Rating from Cumberland Council.

What's Included

Everything Your Visit Can Cover

Our homecare visits are tailored to you — no two care plans are the same. Here's what our trained carers can support you with.

Personal Care

Bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and continence care — all delivered with dignity, respect, and sensitivity to your preferences and cultural background.

Medication Management

Prompting and safe administration of prescribed medications, accurate contemporaneous documentation, and adherence to our clinical governance framework — overseen by our registered nurse.

Nutrition & Meal Preparation

Preparing balanced, nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and personal tastes, monitoring food and fluid intake, providing hydration support, and assisting with feeding where needed.

Domestic Support

Light housekeeping, vacuuming, tidying, laundry and ironing, washing up — keeping your home clean, safe, and comfortable so you can enjoy your space without worry.

Companionship

Meaningful conversation, reading together, card games, reminiscence, and emotional reassurance. We believe genuine human connection is as important as any practical task on a care plan.

Community Access

Escorting you to GP appointments, hospital visits, local errands, places of worship, and social outings — ensuring you stay connected to the people and places that matter to you.

Common Questions

Homecare Visits — FAQ

Have a question we haven't answered? Call us on 01204 952 009 and we'll be happy to help.

How much do homecare visits cost in Bolton?

The cost of homecare visits varies depending on the number of visits per week, the duration of each visit, and the type of support required. We provide clear, transparent pricing during your free assessment — no hidden fees. Some clients are eligible for local authority funding through Bolton or Cumberland Council, and we're happy to help you understand what you may be entitled to. Contact us for a no-obligation quote tailored to your specific needs.

Can I choose the times of my visits?

Absolutely. We build your care schedule around your existing routine and daily preferences — not the other way around. Whether you need an early-morning wake-up call, a lunchtime visit to assist with meals, or an evening call to help with bedtime, we'll work to match your timetable as closely as possible. We understand that consistency matters, and we do our best to keep your visit times stable week to week.

What happens if my usual carer is unavailable?

We always have a pool of trained, vetted carers available to ensure your visits are never missed. If your regular carer is unwell or unavailable for any reason, we'll inform you promptly and introduce a familiar backup carer — someone who has already been briefed on your care plan and preferences. Our on-call team operates 24/7 to handle any last-minute changes with minimal disruption to you.

Are your carers DBS checked?

Yes — without exception. Every member of our care team undergoes an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before they begin working with clients. All carers also complete mandatory training in safeguarding, manual handling, medication management, infection control, and first aid, with regular refresher training and supervisions. Their competencies are clinically reviewed by our registered nurse.

How quickly can care be arranged?

We understand that care needs can arise suddenly, and we work hard to respond quickly. In many cases we can arrange an initial assessment within 24–48 hours and begin care visits shortly after. For urgent situations — such as a hospital discharge — please call us directly on 01204 952 009 and we will do everything we can to put support in place as quickly as possible.
